What is Airbnb Connect?

Imagine not having to lift a finger to grant your Airbnb guests access! Airbnb Connect is a seamless integration that allows Airbnb hosts to synchronize their listing calendars with their igloohome locks. Unique PIN codes are automatically generated and sent to guests based on the time and length of stay.


How does it work?
  1. After a reservation on Airbnb is confirmed, igloohome will assign a unique PIN code to the lock remotely.
  2. Just 1 hour before check-in time, the host will receive an email from igloohome containing the PIN code. If you like, you can also send the email to your guest earlier via the app.
  3. To ensure security, the PIN code will only work for the length of the stay and needs to be activated within 24 hours of the check-in time and date.
  1. When it’s time for check-out, the PIN code is automatically deactivated - giving the host, as well as subsequent guests, a peace of mind.


How easy is it to set up?

Every igloohome lock comes with Airbnb Connect! Activating Airbnb Connect is really simple and is all done through the app.

Step 1: Connect your Airbnb account on the igloohome app

Open the igloohome app > Menu > Account Settings > 'Connect with Airbnb' button > Log into your Airbnb account

Step 2: Sync up your Airbnb listing with your igloohome smart lock

Go to Menu > Configuration > Manage Homes > Select the igloohome listing to connect > Under 'Connect Providers', click on Airbnb > Select the Airbnb listing you want to sync and click 'Confirm'

Step 3: Activate automatic check-in!

Return to Menu > Reservations > Refresh the page by pulling down > Select the igloohome listing that you have synced > click 'Automate check-in' > Start free trial > OK
