No. Unlike a wifi padlock, it needs no hub or internet connection at the lock — patented offline access technology lets the Padlock 2 validate PIN codes locally, so users can unlock it anywhere. Bluetooth keys can also be shared through the igloohome app.
Yes. It is an outdoor smart padlock, IPX7 rated and tested against seven MIL-STD 810H environmental standards covering rain, temperature shock, high and low temperatures, shock, salt fog and humidity, so it holds up as a shed padlock, trailer padlock or gate padlock left outside year round.
You can issue one-time, duration, recurring and permanent PIN codes, as well as Bluetooth keys through the igloohome app. Time-bound credentials give guests, staff and contractors access only when they need it.
The rechargeable lithium battery lasts up to nine months, depending on usage and conditions. A USB-C emergency power port provides a backup if the battery is depleted.
